Mr Yogendra Kr Modi

Mr Modi is currently the promoter, and Director of YKM Holdings International Limited and is Chairman and Managing Director of GEECL; He has conceived, implemented and operated several large projects in industrial chemicals, cement, textiles, electronics and the auto components business.

Yogendra Modi is a member of Dean’s Council at John F Kennedy School of Government. He is a prominent industry spokesperson and held office in many national level business bodies.

He was a past President of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a body responsible for enterprise in India with over 1500 corporate members and 500 Chamber of Commerce and business associations and was president in 2004.

In 1992, Mr Modi was appointed to the board of the International Chamber of Commerce (India) (ICC India). Prior to being appointed to the board, he was a member of the Executive Committee and Standing Advisory Committee.

The ICC India is one of the most active chapters of the world ICC, which includes members in over 140 countries. ICC India includes a large number of corporates, chamber of commerce, trade & industry associations and consultancy organisations. The aim of the ICC is promoting liberlisation in the country, accelerate flow of foreign investment and lowering tariff barriers to promote international trade.

Mr Prashant Modi

Prashant Modi is currently President & Chief Operating Officer of GEECL and joined the YK Modi Group in 1996 where he is responsible for day to day operations. Prashant was also fundamental in the successful listing the Company on the London Stock Exchange in 2005.

Prashant was previously responsible for Business Development at Rossell Industries Limited, where he was involved in the restructuring and subsequent successful sale of the business to Unilever. Rossell Industries Limited is a Company based in India involved in Tea Plantations.

In 1995, Prashant was involved in International accounting / finance divison of Qualcomm Incorporated in the US, and in 1996 in the project finance division of ANZ Bank in the UK. Prashant was also involved in business consulting to the respective senior management during this period.

Prashant was educated at St Columbus School, New Delhi, India, where he focused on business. Prashant Modi subsequently gained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University. Thereafter, he completed an executive education course at Harvard Business School.
